The marketplace built into MetaTrader terminals: thousands of signals, billed monthly. The database is huge, but the ranking spotlights aggressive accounts.
Copy trading platforms and brokers with trade copying
The best copy trading platforms fall into three classes: signal marketplaces, independent platforms and copying built into brokers and exchanges. Filter by market and compare the terms.
Platforms shown: 14 of 14. The "Forex and CFD" filter is on by default — crypto exchanges work by different mechanics and sit in a separate tab.
A portfolio of several strategies on one account: each subscription gets its own share of capital, its own sizing rules and its own loss cap. There are portfolio analytics and a breakdown of results by symbol, hour and day. The platform's site — allo.trading.
Works on top of an account at a partner broker. Advanced risk filters and limits sit with the platform rather than the broker.
The whole portfolio is copied rather than individual trades. A strong social layer: a feed, comments and public statistics.
The most widely used broker copy service in the Russian-speaking segment: a low entry threshold and several fee models for the leader.
A mobile-first scenario: subscribing and managing from the app. The strategy pool is limited to the broker's own clients.
Only verified accounts can be copied: the statistics are confirmed by the service independently of the trader's claims.
Copying is built into the cTrader platform itself and runs server-side: no need to keep a terminal running. Available only at brokers that support cTrader.
Vetted strategies instead of an open ranking: a curated showcase and a high entry threshold.
The trader is packaged into an asset with normalised risk: the platform's engine caps the subscriber's drawdown itself.
The largest master-trader showcase in crypto. Copying leveraged futures carries a higher liquidation risk than forex.
The largest audience and deep liquidity. Limits and feature availability depend on your account verification level.
The exchange made copying a flagship product: a deep showcase and detailed master-trader statistics.
Copying is built into the exchange's wider ecosystem and supports spot strategies too, not only derivatives.
“Entry threshold” means the smallest amount the service works with: for signal marketplaces it is the subscription price (the account stays yours), for brokers and exchanges it is the minimum deposit. Platforms change entry thresholds and fee models without notice. Before registering, check the terms on the service's own site and confirm that it works with your jurisdiction.

Three classes, three different risks
Signal marketplace
The platform matches traders with subscribers while execution happens on your account at any broker. Maximum choice and maximum variation in quality: the showcase barely filters aggressive strategies.
Independent platform
Its own risk engine, vetted strategies and advanced settings. The entry threshold is higher, but there is a layer between you and the leader that caps size and drawdown.
Inside a broker or an exchange
The lowest threshold and the simplest start: account, showcase and copying in one place. The flip side is that the strategy pool is limited to that broker's clients, and it changes the terms unilaterally.
How to choose a platform
Five checks in the order worth doing them: the first eliminates more candidates than the other four combined.
Who owns the platform, which regulator licenses it and whether it serves residents of your country. This comes before everything else: if there is no answer, there is no point looking further.
eliminates the mostWhether accounts are independently verified, or the showcase simply shows what the leader drew. Without verification any metric is a claim, not a fact.
affects trader screeningA success fee, a subscription, a per-volume commission or a spread markup. Work out the full yearly cost for your own deposit, not the advertised percentage.
calculate it in advanceA per-subscription loss limit, instrument filters, a cap on the number of positions. A platform without limits pushes all the control onto you.
defines your protectionReal withdrawal times and methods matter more than a pretty showcase: you have to be able to take out what you earn. Read reviews from the last few months, not from all time.
checked lastHow many traders pass your filter on track record and drawdown, not how many there are in total. A platform with a thousand accounts may not have a single candidate with a year of history.
count after filteringCopying latency, slippage and the share of orders that fail to copy. Server-side copying inside a broker is almost always faster than a chain running through a third-party service.
only visible in a live testHow many years the service has been running, whether support responds to disputes about copying and what happened during outages. A young platform with flawless reviews is itself a reason to be wary.

Which copy trading platform is best?
There is no universal answer: a service inside a broker is more convenient and cheaper, an independent platform gives a wider choice of lead traders but adds an intermediary. What you choose is not a platform but the pairing of "broker terms plus quality of trader vetting".
Is a VPS needed for copy trading?
It is, if copying runs through the terminal: a local copier works only while MetaTrader is on. Server-side services and copying inside a broker manage without a VPS — the trades are broadcast on the platform's side.
Can trades be copied without your own broker?
No. Every platform connects to a trading account, and an account is opened at a broker. Hence an important consequence: the execution terms — spread, swap, slippage — are set by the broker, not by the platform.
How do you check that a platform is not drawing its statistics?
Look at where the figures come from: does the service compute metrics from the trading account, is there investor access, is there a trade history export. Screenshots and pictures in a messenger are not verification.
What copy trading platforms exist?
Three types: services inside brokers, independent platforms working on top of an account at a partner broker, and local copiers in the MetaTrader terminal. Choosing the type matters more than choosing the brand.
Broker service or independent platform?
A broker's service is shorter and cheaper; an independent platform gives a wider choice of lead traders and usually vets them more strictly. The price of that choice is a second party in the chain and its terms.
Which platforms work with clients from my country?
The line-up changes, and it has to be checked on the platform itself at the moment of registration rather than in reviews. No list here stays correct for longer than a few months.
Does a copying platform need a licence?
The requirements depend on who holds the money. In copying the account is at a broker, so a licence matters above all at the broker rather than at the trade-broadcasting service.
Can trades be copied on crypto?
Yes, major crypto exchanges have their own copying services. The mechanics are similar but the costs differ: the turnover charge is higher, and leverage on futures can close an account faster.
How do you vet a platform before registering?
Three things: who holds your account and under what licence, where the showcase metrics come from, and whether there is access to a lead trader's trade history. A missing answer to even one is reason enough not to register.
